This is probably the biggest reason why I really don’t like many Americans.
What kind of jackass actually goes out to shop on Thanksgiving Day, especially at the expense of the workers?
Most other societies would have more respect for their fellow human beings than this.
Most other societies wouldn’t value stuff so much.
Most other societies have endured some series of extreme hardships that has probably caused them to not value stuff so much.
Most other societies are able to empathize with other people’s plight.
Not the case in the US of A, regardless of your past cultural identification.
We value stuff more than we value the people around us.
And it shows when people go out to shop on Thanksgiving Day, at any time.
Think about it.
