Chiquita subject of $611m bid to rival Fyffes merger

Two Brazilian companies make a $611m (£363m) bid for US banana group Chiquita, which had planned to merge with Irish fruit firm Fyffes.

This is a definite sign that, in spite of the higher profits that private companies are realizing, that the US is losing ground economically in the world. Our wealth is being shoved out by foreigners. Control of our companies are moving overseas. Very interesting that one of the primary instigators for US imperialism could succumb to the continent that it once dominated.

Think about it.
